My new bedroom

I should have done some before pictures, but those of you who had seen my bedroom knew that it was a screaming bright yellow.  Yes, I'm serious.  Screaming.

But now, it's this....

And who deserves all the credit for this oasis of beauty?  John Ferguson - that's right!  He has been working so hard this week to get this room beautiful - and he has done an amazing job!  Thank you so much honey!  You rock!

Banff Gardens

I don't remember if that is the correct name, but it works for me.

I am in the process of taking care of these hundreds of pictures from my August travels.  Feeling like a slacker, but I guess it is more important to pay bills and educate my kids...and love on my husband, of course.  So in pieces will they come.

These gardens are set at the end of the Main St. in Banff.  Banff is so awesome - there is so much beauty crammed into that little town and the surrounding areas.  I love it!

I don't know the story about the big house - I was too busy taking pictures to read the plaques.

Into the Rockies: Lake Louise, Lake Moraine and 9 kids

We ventured into the Canadian Rockies to show our dear friends from Colorado some real mountains. (heehee)

These little gopher-guys apparently like chips and pretzels.  And our kids for giving them the chips and pretzels.  We stopped that real fast.  After I got a couple of pictures of course.

This little friend loved splashing through the very cold water.  I don't know how she did it - but she did.  And she sure was cute doing it.

Waterton Lakes

Just add to the beauty of the landscape up here - it's amazing.

Last week we headed down to Waterton Lakes National Park with our friends and saw yet another magnificent part of God's creation.  Waterton is the northern part of Glacier Nation Park, so while we were still in Canada, we could look across the lake to the good ol' U.S.A.  Hello there!!!

We also did some hiking and came across these beauties.

This is just for fun - I could see my entire family in Rebecca's glasses.

The ride home was lovely as well with the bright yellow fields, and some cool clouds, and my favorite grain elevator. 

I must confess, I do miss Texas, but I am loving the landscape surrounding me in Alberta.
