Waterton Lakes

Just add to the beauty of the landscape up here - it's amazing.

Last week we headed down to Waterton Lakes National Park with our friends and saw yet another magnificent part of God's creation.  Waterton is the northern part of Glacier Nation Park, so while we were still in Canada, we could look across the lake to the good ol' U.S.A.  Hello there!!!

We also did some hiking and came across these beauties.

This is just for fun - I could see my entire family in Rebecca's glasses.

The ride home was lovely as well with the bright yellow fields, and some cool clouds, and my favorite grain elevator.

I must confess, I do miss Texas, but I am loving the landscape surrounding me in Alberta.

Love it, love it, love it! esp the sunglasses shot! Love that Justin is loving his camera, but sometimes he has to put it down so we can see that beautiful face!

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. We never did get a chance to go to Waterton -- just did drive-bys on our way down and up. So glad you got to experience it. It looks gorgeous.

Beautiful place. I've only been there once. It was early September 2004 and the rolling hills on the 150 or so miles were the most intense shade of emerald green. Easy to see why the original settlers fell in love with the place.

Frank's Slide was is in the neighborhood, but likely not on your way home. Not "beautiful" in a traditional sense, but humbling at our helplessness in the face of a mere mountain let alone the creator of the universe.

You almost have me convinced to make the trip; a few more posts might do it.
