Vancouver

Told y'all I was getting caught up today.  (In case anyone is concerned, we will be celebrating Thanksgiving tomorrow with dear friends.)  But back to getting caught up.
So what we have here is a small (ahem) selection of my photos from our Vancouver trip a couple of weeks ago.  The trip was for an annual prayer conference put on by Grace Pres. in Vancouver.  We had a wonderful time being challenged in regard to how we think about and approach prayer.  It was, I must say, eye-opening for me.  The fact that I got some fun photos as well is just the icing on the cake.

How awesome is this.

This building was crazy! But I loved it!

                                Happy Thanksgiving y'all!

Banff Springs Hotel catch-up post

Since it's Thanksgiving, we are taking a couple of days off of school.  Which is enabling me to do some of these little things that have otherwise been put off until now.  First up, the promised pictures of the Banff Springs Hotel, from our trip out there in August.  Ah...what a beauty of a building.  I couldn't decide which pics to post, so, I kind of went a bit overboard.  Sorry. ;)  I just loved them all!

Yellowstone National Park

Yes, finally.  And since you have all been waiting so long and losing sleep wondering, "When will Heather get those Yellowstone pictures up???", I will post 500.

Just joking, but it may seem like that by the end of this post.  There was so much cool stuff in Yellowstone!  Like...
Buffalo!
a buffalo and a fly fisherman
a buffalo and a guy taking a picture of another buffalo
Justin taking a picture of buffalo
And we saw...
Geysers!
We actually spent a whole afternoon waiting for Old Faithful...missed it TWICE.  I thought it blew every 30 minutes or so.  Nope...it's averaging around 90 minutes this year.  We had two times of just walking through the parking lot and seeing everyone coming back, signifying...guess what.  So we decided to park it and wait on site.
Waiting for Old Faithful...
...and waiting...
Not Old Faithful, but Castle Geyser, which is not faithful, so it was a real treat to see it blow and it helped break up the monotony of waiting.
...still waiting...
Even Tess is into the anticipation.
Everyone is waiting.  Is it time yet????
Thar she blows!!!
Ok, what next.
A bear.
Kids and buffalo!
A herd of buffalo!
We saw lots of buffalo.
But we also saw...
Waterfalls!
I love this shot - you can see how big this thing was with the people there to scale by.
We just saw some incredible scenery everywhere we looked.
How Tess took in the scenery...
and my absolute favorite view(don't miss the rainbow)...
It was a beautiful trip.  I highly recommend it.  Two thumbs up.  A 10.
