I promise I will get a handle on life soon - enough to quit sending out the "quick updates", but not yet.
So...
Our stuff is all here and mostly unpacked. I have 3 piles of "I have no idea what to do with this" in various corners of the house and our room is still in a bit of disarray, but will be in order soon...I just feel it.
Today is Kevin's birthday - WOOO HOOO- 12 years old!!!
We had a little party for him Thursday evening and will continue to celebrate today.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KEVIN!!!!
We are connected at home to the rest of the world. I will send out an email later this week with our new info.
Maggie, our beloved dog of 10 years, is in her last days. She won't eat anything twice, and now I have run out of options. I am still offering her food, but she turns away from it - I think the smell makes her sick as well. We have a vet friend in the church and he has said he will help us through whatever we need to do - uggghhhh. We are just waiting and loving on her at this point. This is what is stressing me out the most and keeping me from feeling settled.
And Direct TV charged my credit card without any authorization from us - charged it $534, which is not even the early cancellation fee - and there was nothing on my online account info that shows why they would even be charging it. And, I can't get our credit card info off the site. Tricksey and false they are! I have disputed the charge with our credit card company - it's a fight we are still dealing with. Blah on Direct TV!
But the weather is beautiful, though, dare I say it, a bit warm when you are inside a house with no air conditioning and no cross breeze - sleeping when it's 85 degrees can make one perspire. But I am NOT complaining - it's not 105, that's for sure.
So that's it for now. I am off to the store to collect what is needed for Kevin's birthday dinner.
More to come and pictures...someday soon.

Tell Kevin Happy Birthday and sorry about Maggie...
God bless you Heather. You are the Bible's definition of an exemplary wife. John and the kids are truly blessed with you. We will be praying for you and the family through these difficult days with Maggie.
And keep raising hell with DirectTV! I have flirted with switching over to them many times, but now NEVER! And you can tell them that.
Hey Heather, I am so sorry about Maggie. I never really understand how difficult it was to lose a pet until Sugar ran away. . .tears for you and yours over Maggie. I love you.
. . .Happy birthday Kevin. We love and miss you.
Happy Birthday Kevin!
Sorry to hear about Maggie. May the rest of her days be continually surrounded by your family's special love and concern.
As for DirectTV, perhaps we should organize a petition???
You've been on my mind today! Love you and miss you...much.
