Desert Rain

We sure do miss rain! Here in Trujillo it supposedly only rains an average of 1/2 inch a year. And while we would love a few good thunderstorms, we are grateful for the sprinklings of rain we have had recently. As you can see the kids are really grateful. I would NEVER have let them do this back in the states - but now, everytime we feel drops, we all run outside and do that scene from the end of Shawshank Redemption when the guy is standing face up and arms outstretched in the rain. It's just glorious.
We had the gift of rain today, but these pics are from a day about a month ago. Justin and Kevin were enjoying the extra bounce you get from a wet trampoline and Jason and Colton were...well, they were just enjoying getting wet.

Ooo, didn't know you were reading Allender. Let's talk. Have you read any of his other books?

Just found your blog and I've really enjoyed it. My daughter and family our missonaries in France and your insights about the kids and language are interesting.
