Decisions, decisions...

So I was advised by a fellow up and coming photographer that I should use Heather Ferguson instead of the more frilly "heather michelle" with nothing to do with frills, just good business.

I have taken that into consideration as well as what I have heard from other photog-friends, add to that my husband suddenly being offended that I "dropped" his name (I do love you honey - it was nothing personal) and have created another logo with said name.

So here we go - the photo was taken today, around the corner from my house in -20 C. Yes, it was cold. Really, really, really cold. But so pretty!

And since I am moving, I really shouldn't be putting any more time into this right now. But the procrastination pull is so strong...

Moving

Life defined at this moment:

Moving is like finals, or going to the dentist, or anything else we agonize over - at some point, in the near future, it will be done.  That's good news.

watermark and logo achieved!

Yes, I should not be doing this right now!  I should be planning on moving my house!
But I like it!

Student photos

I wanted to share some of my students photos from the digital photography class I taught last week.  I was so impressed by how they put what we talked about to work.  Way to go everyone!!!

Jason and Kevin also took the class, and while I was pulling out a few of their photos to share they were saying, "But I really like that one too.  Can you put this on on too?"  So since it was so many, I think I'll just post their slide-shows we made to present to the class. (The slide-shows are put to music for your viewing enjoyment.)

Kevin's photos

Jason's photos
I hope to get some more photos sent to me by my students.  When I do, I will be showing them off here.  Hint.  Hint.  (Send me your photos...)

3 + 1= Cutness

I had the pleasure of photographing a young family with 3 strapping boys and a new baby girl. Let me tell you, those boys were all motion. And it was cold out. But we had fun. What a beautiful family!

The Jonkers!

I had the pleasure of doing a shoot for this wonderful family, just on the edge of Fall.  I think had we waited a few more days, we would not have had any leaves left on the trees!
