Fall in Calgary

Here are the Fall pics I promised. It was only a week ago that I took these.

While it is still somewhat golden out and about, the temperature has had a general significant drop - therefore, the natives are already feeling like Old Man Winter has arrived. We, on the other hand are staying optimistic - enjoying the golden-ness and the white-ness, both, and looking forward to the warm Chinook winds that blow in from the mountains from time to time. Calgarians live for the Chinooks during the fall/winter/spring.

The first set of pics are from Prince's Island Park, nestled in the heart of Downtown Calgary on the Bow River..

This next set is from Bowness Park, also on the Bow River, but further north, closer to our home. It is one of our favorite places to walk.

I took these pictures with my UV lens filter on - I love how warm everything looks.
