Snow update

So an update to our awaking to snow yesterday morning...

Of course the kids played in the snow all day, it being a rare occurrence in these parts and all. We did manage to get school done in between snowball fights, and then mid-afternoon, I grabbed Justin and Jason to go shopping for their sibling Christmas presents. It wasn't long after pulling out of the driveway that we realized there were little snow flakes falling on our windshield.

We pulled into the first stop, came out and it was snowing harder.

Made the next stop and came out to an even harder falling of snow.

After the last stop, we were in a full-out blizzard. Ok-not even close, but by our standards, it was the most snow we ever had falling on us at one time. It snowed from around 3:30 in the afternoon until around 7:30 that evening...continuously...without stopping...because that is what continuously means, but I just want to make sure I am understood.

In all of my years in Houston(born and raised) and Central Texas(4 years of college and then 7 years in ministry), I have never been in a snow fall, and especially not a good snow fall. So we had fun and of course, I took a ton more pictures with an actual full covering of snow, probably around 2 inches deep.

It was a fun surprise and it was so much fun celebrating this rare gift together with the kids, and friends, and our community.

Can y'all pack some of that up in a cooler with dry ice and send it to us? We would like that a lot.

That's amazing! We got a similar snow in Durham last week, but we are in the far north. Bet the kids (and adults) had a great time!!
