We mark day 8 of our visit in Calgary. As I sit, I have two-year old Cooper Doud leaning up against me- his shoes are on the wrong feet and his thumb is in his mouth - while the other 8 kids are taking a restful moment to watch National Treasure. Shawn and Nancy have been sent out on a date sin kiddos.
We arrived in Calgary last Wednesday night after. a brief overnight stay in Billings, Montana which involved dinner with friends, Brandon and Tanja Acheson (they say hello to everyone at WPC). We were welcomed to the Doud home by Shawn and Nancy, dear friends and, partners in the Gospel ministry, and their four boys, Burke, Tucker, Trevor and Cooper. We have had a great time, celebrating the 20th anniversary of Northridge Presbyterian Church, casting a vision for the city of Calgary, catching up with Shawn and Nancy, and getting to know the great people of Northridge, and this city.
It's been good and exciting and fun and I have taken a bazillion pictures from Downtown to the Canadian Rockies. John preached an awesome sermon on Sunday -maybe I can get it linked here soon.
We say goodbye Sunday after church and begin the trek back to College Station, TX which will hopefully be ready to receive those little internet waves so we can be connected from home. :)
And FYI, it has been down right balmy up here this week. Balmy and beautiful. "Great White North" - what are they talking about?????
