Well, I was trying to do a movie slideshow with a musical background, but the whole uploading to YouTube has finally done me in. I give up. After an attempted uploading time of 6 hours, it still didn't upload and I lost the internet connection. (Say it with me, "Welcome to Peru") So a simple slideshow minus the song will have to do. But I will give an overview of the festivities.
The guests arrived and played a bit of video games while John and I put the finishing touches on the preparations. Then John took the boys out for a game that puts them in a circle with a partner and allows them to tackle each other to keep from getting the ball. As the photos show, they liked the game...a lot.
After a thousand rounds of the tackle game, (it took care of a good chunk of time) we headed inside to open gifts, then scarfed down some yummy Dr. Pepper cake (thanks Steff!) and ice cream and then let the boys get back to their video games to finish out the celebration.
It was the easiest birthday party ever.
Miranda is next - right around the corner on Febuary 4.
I wonder if her girl friends will like the tackle game. ;)
