I thought I would take the opportunity to tell our story over the next several days as I get time, in the hope that it might be an encouragement to others to see adoption, any type of adoption, as a viable option for not only expanding your family, but the kingdom of God. Adoption is not an obligation, but it is a beautiful, tangible picture of the Gospel at work - the reaching down of God to claim us as His very own.
But right now, I am tired. And seeing how I tend to be wordy, it would probably be best to break up the story somewhat.
Hasta luego.
Nos vemos maƱana.

I actually came across a picture today from Marian, Hannah, and I at the celebration you had for their adoption. I was very pregant in the picture and was thinking that it had to have been about this time. Now I know for sure! I didn't really know you all very well at the time, but really appreciated what you all had to say that day; it was really special. Happy Adoption Day!!
Happy Adoption Day Miranda and Colton! We're so glad you're a part of the family! We love you and we are praying for you. Anna-Kate prays every night for you too.
Yea for adoption! Adoption is definitely not a requirement for the kingdom of God, but it's certainly a central idea toward understanding our part in the Gospel story. I, for one, think that it should be discussed, considered, and practiced in the church MUCH more often than it is.
Remind Miranda and Colton that their adopted friend Brian says "hi" to them.
Happy Adoption Day, Miranda and Colton FERGUSON!!! Granma Loves YOU!
Intellectually I know we have only had you in our lives for a couple years--actually longer because you were in our lives months before it became "forever", but I have to think really really hard to remember a time when you weren't part of our family.
Big hugs for all the Fergie kids.
