The winter of my discontent

I'm tired of cold. We have been cold since May. Yesterday was the first day of Spring. Feels like it did the first day of Fall - like winter.
Now I know my friends sweltering in Texas and the likes would like to send me some not so nice comments about sweating and suffocating as soon as you walk outside your house. I do understand. I was you once - wishing for a chill to refresh my parched skin. But 5 months is long for a chill. And we can't get away from it - it's cold inside too. Brian and Janelle, Steffani - remember how it felt when you were here? It still feels that way!
I'm tired of going to bed in my warm jacket, socks and extra blanket - since May. I'm tired of sitting in the park wishing the sun would show it's face for a brief moment an chase the chill away from my cold, cold nose.
But alas, what are we to do. Just wait. Just wait and hope that winter in Trujillo will not be eternal.
City of the eternal Spring - spring in Antarctica maybe.

I see exactly what you mean. I have Trujillo up on the left side of my "weather underground" page, so every time I visit that site, I can automatically see what the weather is there and in College Station as well. It is ALWAYS 59 degrees in Trujillo--regardless of the time of day or night that I check. And the bad part is that it is not only 59 outside, it is 59 inside as well.

We are having unseasonable warm here--I am trying to send it your way, but not having much luck with it.
