Been a long book reviews part 4

Seasons of a Mother's Heart by Sally Clarkson -  Miss Sally came all the way up to Alberta to give us some encouragement.  Encouraged I was - Sally speaks from a sense of reality - life for a momma is tiring, but with the right perspective, it is a joy.  This little book helps with the perspective angle.... 8

Educating the Wholehearted Child by Clay & Sally Clarkson - The Mary to Susan Wise Bauer's Martha (The Well-Trained Mind).  I think merging Susan's passion for learning and encouragement to not fear the things of old along with the Clarkson's passion for homeschooling with joy while not making it harder than it needs to be AND keeping the main thing the main thing,  is the perfect recipe for our path.  9

One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp - She writes prose like a poet and leaves you challenged and refreshed at the same time.  How is that even possible?  Get it.  Read it.  10

I think I might make Ann Voskamp's book an annual read. I wonder if she'd fly down here for a cup of coffee?
