I just updated my book lists on the side here. As I look at the lists, I realize it looks like I am some schizo reader, dipping into many books at a time. But really, it is more orderly than it seems. You see, I have my book club book - the book club I am hosting. That is the list titled "Book of the Month". The list entitled "What I am reading" holds everything else - my other book club book (yes, I am in two, but only hosting one), my classic literature book (this year I am working through the Russians in conjunction with the Teaching Company's History of Russian Literature Course). I primarily only read this during the daytime, because most of these books require more of my brain than is available at night. I also have made a goal of sharpening my photography skills and knowledge this year, that's there. And last of all, I have my "just because I want to" book.
So this is how it all works out right now:
Cutting for Stone - other book club book
Eugene Onegin - Russian lit
Digital Photography Master Class - skill development
Shadow of the Wind - just because
So there, it all makes sense. In my head at least, and that's the only one I can worry about.

Sounds great! I wish I could make time for a book club! I guess I'll just live vicariously through yours.
Hey, Peggy told me that the WPC ladies book club decided to do "Peace Like a River" after hearing that Brian Franklin highly recommended it! Apparently, I have a lot of sway when it comes to literature at WPC! Have you read that yet?
Oh man. I am so not worthy! LOL I don't know how you keep up with all of these! :^D
I had another failed attempt to get through Russian literature last year Heather. I failed to make it more than 1/3 of the way through Anna Karenina (even the new Pevear translation!).
Perhaps I'd do better if I read some non-fiction Russian history first?
