A bit late, but here goes...
I don't do resolutions because, well, I don't have enough resolve in and of myself. But I do love to look towards a goal...a realistic goal, but a challenging goal. A goal that causes me to stretch and deepen, but not be frustrated because it seems so unattainable.
So my goals for 2009 are:
Spirit:
1. Read through the Bible chronologically - meaning to read the Bible as it happened in time, as best as we can know.
2. Develop consistent prayer life with the help of journaling.
(Guess which is always on my list.)
Mind:
1. Work through one Teaching Company course of which I have many to choose from having purchased and not yet listened to.
2. Read the following books:
The Life and Death of Socrates by Plato
The Canterbury Tales by Geoffrey Chaucer
Preface to Paradise Lost by C.S. Lewis
Paradise Lost by John Milton
something by Chekov, Gogol, or Pushkin
Middlemarch by George Elliot
A Passage to India by E.M. Forester
Body:
1. Get rid of that 25 pounds my doctor and I agreed needs to go.
(Guess what else was also on last years list.)
2. Complete the P90X program with John (which will also help deal with #1)
This list is a bit more substantive than last years, even including the repeats. (Maybe if I pray more the 25 lbs will leave a bit more quickly...hmmm)

I finished Passage to India last month and would love to hear what you think about it. It was very interesting, but I won't say anymore and ruin it.
You are well on your way with the "25 pounds" deal (even though I DON'T think you need to lose anything.) You looked great when I saw you last week!
Call me/I'll call you when you back!
