Downtown Calgary

More pictures from our visit of now, long ago. Ok, not that long ago, but as we are approaching December, it feels like long ago.

These are from an afternoon walking Downtown Calgary.

I just love photographing architecture. I love the shapes and shadows that one can find only in such a place as a downtown city block. And the architecture of the Calgary Tower as well as various metal sculptures just added to the experience of this city for me.





And my personal favorite...

So one won't step wrong and fall through the slats...I guess.

LOL I've always wondered about those footprints. And being such a rebel, I always purposefully avoid the footprints. HA! (I actually think they are for during the winter as the slats can be icy so the foot shaped thing has a bit more tread on it to reduce slippage.) :^D
