Like, in case you think we totally can't have fun in Peru

This past Saturday our 2nd Annual Murder Mystery Dinner party, organized by one Allen Bradford, took place at the home of Sandi and Allen Smith. An 80's theme was present at the request of ALL and we like totally had an awesome time dancing and eating, and playing the game. My pasty look can be explained by the fact that I was a ghost. The baby powder to the face didn't do much for my attempt at looking phan-tastic since I am already pretty pale, but the photos make me look like I have been ill for quite some time and the party was my first real outing.

Fortunately, I was not the killer this year (like last), but the perpetrator was one Angelica(intern extraordinaire and fightin' Texas Aggie, Sydney Teuton), married to Hercules, washed up action hero (aka John) so at least it's staying in the family...sort of.

We had a blast making our hair big and our make-up and clothes obnoxious. The sad part of all of this is that whatever accessories we didn't find in our closets, we did find quite easily in downtown Trujillo. What does that say? You know, now that I think of it, the idea did stem from the ongoing 80's music that surrounds us on a daily basis here. It's like totally cool!

I wish I had space to put up more pictures, but since I don't our Flickr site is a MUST SEE.

So much fun. I'm currently taking contributions for the "Franklins visit Peru" fund. Any takers?

Wow, that really brings back memories of my days wearing OP shirts (Ocean Pacific for you non-80's types) and blue and white checkered Vans. (And let's not forget my rad pair of parachute pants.

I like the pictures--you know a good time was had by all when the first pistol makes its appearance!
