I guess I should mention that we are home alone for two weeks. John left last Saturday for Arequipa in the south of Peru to attend Casa deAvila Language School. This was a sudden thought turned decision with the hope that it might boost John's Spanish a bit before he begins his apologetics class in the seminary. He began class on Monday. He has 4 hours of Spanish instruction a day - 2 hours of grammar with one instructor and then 2 hours of conversation with another instructor. He has been very pleased thus far with the quality of instruction and the school itself. He is enjoying Arequipa, but he is also very tired from the intense brain drain.
Keep him in prayer over these next couple of weeks. In addition to his Spanish instruction and homework, he is preparing for his seminary class. Pray for lots of energy and productivity during his hiatus from the distractions he loves to call family (that's us!), pray also that in the midst of the intense brain drain, he will also find some rest and refreshment. Arequipa is known to be a beautiful city. John has already had the privilege of attending an organ concert and one day this week is will visit with the pastor-uncle of our architect on staff, Lenin.
And pray for us while he is away. I am not good when he is not here and a few more of us aren't that good either. So far we are doing ok, but I already miss him so much and we are only on day 5 of 14.

I'm praying too. I love you.
Marian :)
CHOCOLATE! For you. Lots of chocolate--makes everything better.
Wish I were there to help with the ninos. Just remember--when they are tired, they are less trouble, so run 'em hard in the morning and they'll let you get a nap in the afternoon.
Hugs and prayers always,
Mom F
