Least importantly first this time, because it is the greater cause of frustration right now in light of the other, much bigger difficulties.
The Vonage phone adapter blinks red - since Saturday morning. It's supposed to be solid green. Solid green means all is well and I can pick up my phone without hearing a man's voice informing me that "the vonage to vonage network is not making some connection with the device" and something, something, whatever...more or less. So my line to the states doesn't work.
Next - it's my brother, Mike's birthday. But I can't call him. Happy Birthday Mike! And when I talked to my mother on Friday, he was in the hospital. This would be an item for prayer. On Friday his problems had been brought under control, but I don't know if he is still in the hospital or not. Mom?????
And finally - John's sweet dad has cancer. He will begin treatment this next week. We hate being so far away, and especially right now are very frustrated with the phone issue. Please keep Dad Ferguson covered with prayer. He is in for a rough ride the next several, maybe 6 months - but he is a trooper and he is much loved by us.
And as you take these items to prayer, could anyone help me with the Vonage thing?

Understanding the technical difficulties...my phone is not working right and I can't seem to send emails, but I can blog and comment on yours to let you know that we are praying for John's dad and your brother.
I was praying with Austin and Asa last night and when I was done, Austin said he had forgotten 2 things. He then prayed for John's dad. It was very sweet. We prayed again for him tonight. I love you friend.
Hey girl. Lots of prayers for John's dad. I'm sorry you all can't be there with him during this time.
